Abstract

Zusammenfassung Beim E-Procurement handelt es sich um ein komplexes Managementinstrument. Für ein umfassendes Verständnis ist eine klare Darstellung der Grundlagen des E-Procurement sinnvoll. Im Folgenden wird auf die Relevanz des E-Procurement für die Unternehmenspraxis eingegangen und der Begriff in seinen betriebswirtschaftlichem Kontext eingeordnet. Darüber hinaus folgt eine terminologische Abgrenzung des E-Procurement zu verwandten Begriffen wie Supply Chain Management. Abschließend wird auf die Ziele des E-Procurement und seine Eignung für bestimmte Beschaffungsvorgänge eingegangen.
