Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Brief wendet sich Karl an seinen langjährigen Freund Bernhard, dessen berufliche und private „Suchbewegungen“ (Mitscherlich 1996, S. 25) er seit vielen Jahren miterleben kann. Karl ist älter, er ist aber gleichwohl nicht bloß einMentor für Bernhard. Vielmehr haben ihre Gespräche sich in den letzten Jahren (vgl. Arnold 2011) zu einem Austausch zweier Suchender entwickelt, bei denen beide nur über wenig Antworten verfügen, aber viele Fragen und ein hohes Maß an durchspürender Wachheit aufbringen. Sie nutzen die Sprache, umorientierende und klärende Bilder zu erzeugen, wissen aber gleichzeitig, dass Sprache einerseits helfen kann, uns zu verständigen und bewusster zu werden, aber zugleich dazu tendiert, uns in den dabei gefundenen Beschreibungen und Formeln gefangen zu halten. Wir müssen deshalb auch diese gefundenen – oder solltenwir sagen: erfundenen? – Sprachspiele letztlich hinter uns lassen, um in unserer spirituellen Suche substanziell voranschreiten zu können.
