Abstract

Zusammenfassung Während einer Meisterschaftssaison kann es zu manch unvorhergesehenen Wendungen kommen: Spielerfluktuationen führen zu Anpassungsschwierigkeiten des Teams auf dem Spielfeld, und Leistungssteigerungen der Gegner können die Planung für die eigene spielerische Entwicklungsrichtung obsolet machen. Auch unvorhergesehene Umstände während eines Spieles sowie die Nicht-Planbarkeit des Spielverhaltens der Spieler stehen m.E. außerhalb des Einflussbereiches eines Trainers. Gerade auch bei Turnieren, denn … „in einem Turnier gibt es immer unterschiedliche Situationen“. Beim Turnier um die 18. FIFA-Fußballweltmeisterschaft im Jahre 2010 in Südafrika – hier endet allmählich unsere „Zeitreise“ durch fünf Jahrzehnte des Mannschaftssports – rückten gleich mehrere erfolgreiche Trainer in den Mittelpunkt des Sportinteresses. Jeder von ihnen führte eine Mannschaft an, die zum engsten Kreis der Favoriten zählte. Und jeder von ihnen hatte seine eigene Methodik, um das Team zum Erfolg zu führen – der erste erreichte das Viertelfinale, der zweite das Semifinale, und der dritte das Finale.
