Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die bisherigen Untersuchungen bezogen sich auf eine Personengesamtheit, aus der das Ausscheiden (durch Tod oder durch freiwilligen Austritt) mit vorgegebener Wahrscheinlichkeit erfolgt. Statt Einzelpersonen können nun Personengruppen untersucht werden, wenn für diese Gruppen ein Ausscheiden, analog dem Tod der Einzelperson, definiert wird. Man kann etwa die Gruppe solange als „lebend“ ansehen, als sämtliche Mitglieder der Gruppe leben. Das „Erlöschen“ der Gruppe, also das Ausscheiden aus dem Stande der lebenden Gruppen, tritt durch den ersten Todesfall eines Mitgliedes der Gruppe ein. Die Gruppe lebt also genau so lange, als sämtliche Mitglieder der Gruppe leben.
