Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im vorangegangenen Kapitel haben wir die Wahrscheinlichkeit untersucht, daß die Mittel der Versicherungsgesellschaft zur Deckung ihrer Zahlungsverpflichtungen nicht ausreichen. In (29.31) wird eine allgemein gültige obere Schranke für diese Wahrscheinlichkeit angegeben, während in (29.32) die Wahrscheinlichkeit selbst unter der Voraussetzung angegeben wird, daß die Summe der Zahlungen der Gesellschaft normalverteilt ist. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit bzw. ihre obere Schranke ist um so kleiner, je kleiner das mittlere Risiko M für den Versicherungsbestand ist. Ebenso wird die Stabilität eines Versicherungsbestandes, also die Gültigkeit der Ungleichung K + E (U) ≧ λ M, um so eher gegeben sein, je kleiner M ist. Die Versicherungsgesellschaft ist daher grundsätzlich daran interessiert, das mittlere Risiko ihres Versicherungsbestandes klein zu halten. Eine Möglichkeit, dieses Ziel zu erreichen, bietet die Rückversicherung.
