Abstract

Zusammenfassung Da jeder Punkt der Ebene, in der wir rechtwinkelige Koordinaten eingeführt denken, durch ein geordnetes Zahlenpaar (x, y) dargestellt ist und umgekehrt jedem solchen Zahlenpaar ein Punkt der Ebene eindeutig entspricht, ist jede Menge von Punkten der Ebene oder, wie man kurz sagt, jede ebene Punkmmenge 1 einer Menge von Zahlenpaaren äquivalent. Eine ebene Punktmenge heißt ein offener (ebener) Bereich 𝖁 (Band I, § 32, I), wenn sie aus allen Punkten im Innern einer geschlossenen, stückweise glatten und doppelpunktfreien Kurve C besteht. Zählen wir auch die Punkte von C zu 𝖁, so sprechen wir von einem abgeschlossenen Bereich. Unter einer Umgebung eines Punktes P versteht man jeden offenen Bereich, der P enthält. So sind z. B.
