Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit Rücksicht auf die folgenden Entwicklungen sei hier zunächst ein kleiner Exkurs über Cartesische Koordinaten 1 und Koordinatensysteme eingeschaltet. Unter einem ebenen Koordinatensystem versteht man ganz allgemein jede Zuordnung der Punkte der Ebene zu geordneten Paaren irgend welcher Zahlen und analog unter einem räumlichen Koordinatensystem eine Zuordnung der Punkte des Raumes zu geordneten Zahlentripeln. Diese Zuordnung braucht sich dabei durchaus nicht auf alle Punkte der Ebene oder des Raumes zu erstrecken, sie muß auch nicht in der ganzen Ebene oder im ganzen Raum eindeutig sein; es genügt, wenn es gewisse Bereiche der Ebene oder des Raumes gibt, in welchen die Zuordnung umkehrbar eindeutig ist, d. h. daß jedem Punkt ein und nur ein Zahlenpaar oder Zahlentripel entspricht und umgekehrt jedem Zahlenpaar oder Zahlentripel ein und nur ein Punkt der Ebene bzw. des Raumes.
