Im Vordergrund steht auch hier wieder der Begriff der gleichmäßigen Konvergenz, der bei den Reihen deshalb eine besondere Rolle spielt, weil einige Sätze über endliche Summen (das sind Summen von endlich vielen Summanden) sich nur dann auf unendliche Summen, also auf Reihen übertragen lassen, wenn diese gleichmäßig konvergieren.
