Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ich bin bei der Einführung des bestimmten Integrals in § 9 von der Aufgabe ausgegangen, den Inhalt eines ebenen Bereiches von ganz spezieller Gestalt, nämlich eines sogenannten Normalbereiches, zu bestimmen. Diese besondere Gestalt des Bereiches hat sich dort aus der geometrischen Deutung des bestimmten Integrals ergeben, aber die Aufgabe der Berechnung des Flächeninhaltes tritt uns natürlich auch bei viel allgemeineren ebenen Bereichen entgegen. Ich beginne also mit einigen Bemerkungen über ebene Bereiche, die aber dur haus vorläufigen Charakter haben; Näheres folgt im Band II.
