Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die bisherigen Resultate waren dadurch charakterisiert, daß sie sich auf ganz bestimmte logische oder logisch-mathematische Systeme bezogen. Es fragt sich, ob es nicht möglich sei, Resultate zu gewinnen, die jenen von Gödel und Church analog sind, in denen jedoch von konkreten Kalkülen weitgehend abstrahiert wurde. Eine derartige Abstraktion gäbe uns die Gewähr dafür, daß diese Ergebnisse nicht auf den individuellen Eigentümlichkeiten jener Systeme beruhen (und daher vielleicht dadurch vermieden werden könnten, daß man die Formalisierung des logischen und mathematischen Schließens in anderer Weise vollzieht, als dies innerhalb jener Kalküle geschieht). In den nun zu skizzierenden Untersuchungsergebnissen von Kleene wird in der Tat die denkbar weiteste Abstraktion von der Gestalt konkreter Kalküle vorgenommen.
