Abstract

Die frühesten Versuche bestanden wohl darin, daß er Zahlengruppen von der Form a 2 + l, a 2 + 2, a 2 + 3, a 2 + 4, a 2 + 5, a 2 + 7, a 2 + 9, a 2 + 11, allgemein a 2 + p bezw. a 2 + p 2 aufstellte und alle Zahlen dieser Gruppen in ihre Primfaktoren zerlegte.
