Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Entstehung der projektiven Denkweise hat sich an die Lehre von der Perspektive angeschlossen. Nachdem H. Lambert und G. Monge aus der praktischen Kunst der Perspektive die Wissenschaft der darstellenden Geometrie geschaffen hatten (E. Papperitz, III A B 6), war der Gedanke, das Studium der Projektionsmethoden zum Selbstzweck zu erheben, fast unmittelbar gegeben. Die tatsächliche Benutzung der Zentralprojektion für Beweise ebener Sätze reicht freilich erheblich weiter zurück. Bereits B. Pascal hat seinen Sechsecksatz dadurch gewonnen, daß er den c 2 als Projektion eines Kreises betrachtete. (Näheres bei F. Dingeldey, III C 1, Nr. 18.)
