Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Theorie der gemeinen complexen Grössen bildet die Grundlage mehrerer der wichtigsten Zweige der Analysis, namentlich der Algebra und der Funktionentheorie. Sie wird daher in allen Lehrbüchern dieser Disciplinen, wie auch in den besseren Lehrbüchern der Infinitesimalrechnung abgehandelt. Wegen der grossen Zahl dieser Werke müssen wir auf eine Zusammenstellung ihrer Titel verzichten. In der Darstellung der Theorie selbst beschränken wir uns auf die ersten Elemente, und verweisen wegen weiterer Entwickelungen auf die Abschnitte I B und II B der Encyklopädie, ferner wegen specieller geometrischer und anderer Anwendungen auf die Artikel III A 7, III B 3 und III D 5, endlich auf die Bände IV und V. —
