Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wir besprechen in diesem Kapitel die Methoden zur Behandlung von algebraischen und transzendenten Gleichungen, wobei kein Unterschied zwischen auflösbaren und nichtauflösbar en Gleichungen gemacht wird. Es bezieht sich diese Unterscheidung bei algebraischen Gleichungen bekanntlich auf die Möglichkeit, die Wurzeln der Gleichungen in einer gewissen Form darzustellen. Diese ist dem praktischen Rechner gleichgültig, seine Absicht geht dahin, die Werte der Unbekannten mit der nötigen Genauigr keit zu ermitteln und als Dezimalbruch anzugeben.
