Abstract

ZusammenfassungDie automatisierte Bilderkennung auf Basis Künstlicher Intelligenz ist heute weit verbreitet und findet zunehmend praktische Anwendung in vielen Bereichen. Besonders auffällig ist die Leistungsfähigkeit moderner mobiler Endgeräte, die visuelle Inhalte bereits in beeindruckender Qualität analysieren und verarbeiten können. Auch im öffentlichen Sektor eröffnen sich vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten für visuelle Erkennungstechnologien. Sie könnten in einer Vielzahl von Verwaltungsprozessen eingesetzt werden, von der automatisierten Dokumentenverarbeitung bis zur Objekterkennung im Außendienst, und dort sowohl die Effizienz steigern als auch die Qualität der Bearbeitung verbessern. Die Technologie bietet Potenzial zur erheblichen Entlastung von Mitarbeiter und zur Optimierung von Abläufen in Behörden und öffentlichen Einrichtungen. Das Kap. 6 stellt ausgewählte Anwendungsbeispiele vor, in denen die technischen Grundlagen und Funktionen der KI-gestützten Bilderkennung gezielt genutzt werden können.
