Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Jahr 1945 hat Görtler einen Ruf nach Freiburg erhalten. Es ging hierbei um die Wiederbesetzung des planmäßigen Extraordinariats für angewandte Mathematik an der Universität Freiburg nach der Emeritierung von Prof. Dr. AnselAnsel. So schrieb Wilhelm Süss 1944 über die Lage der Angewandten Mathematik in Freiburg, der Nachfolger Ansels habe die schwierige Aufgabe, die angewandte Mathematik... aus einer sehr bescheidenen Grundlage zu entwickeln.
