Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wie oben in dem Lebenslauf von Görtler erwähnt, wechselte Görtler 1937 an das Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut (KWI) für Strömungsforschung in Göttingen. Aus der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft ging nach dem Krieg die Max-Planck-Gesellschaft hervor. Das Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut für Strömungsforschung wurde auf Initiative von Ludwig Prandtl 1925 eingerichtet und Prandtl leitete es von 1925–1946 Hier war Görtler stark an kriegsrelevanter Forschung beteiligt.
