Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den letzten drei, vier Jahren hat die technische Entwicklung insgesamt unglaubliche Fortschritte erzielt. Möglich wurde das unter anderem durch Innovationen im Hard- und Software-Bereich. Einige der neuen Technologien, wie z. B. Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Blockchain, Sensorik im Rahmen von IoT (Internet-of-Things), Low-Code und No-Code-Plattformen, etc., haben die klassischen Prozesse in der Wirtschaft weltweit disruptiv verändert. Und der Weg geht weiter. Nahezu täglich kommen Technologien auf den Markt, die das bisher gekannte Niveau schon wieder nach oben verlassen haben und neue, spektakuläre Funktionen zur Verfügung stellen. Es ist zum einen schwierig, die Übersicht zu bewahren und zum anderen erfordert es sehr viel Sach- und Prozesskenntnis, um eine neue Anwendung hinsichtlich ihres Nutzwertes für den Public Sector einschätzen zu können. In diesem Kapitel werden jene Technologien beschrieben, die das Potenzial für Veränderungen und Transformationen von Verwaltungsprozessen oder Verfahren haben.
