Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel stellt ein intuitives Framework zur Implementierung von Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen vor und möchte verschiedene Akteure innerhalb und außerhalb der Hochschule dazu motivieren, sich aktiv mit diesem Thema auseinanderzusetzen. Das vorgestellte ORANGE-Konzept (Orientation, Research, Alliances, Networks, Governance, Education) deckt alle Bereiche des Hochschullebens ab – sowohl strategisch als auch operativ, auf dem Campus und außerhalb in Kooperation mit diversen Stakeholdern – und ermöglicht so eine ganzheitliche Herangehensweise an die Nachhaltigkeit. Das Konzept bietet eine umfassende Orientierung mit konkreten Beispielen für die ganzheitliche Implementierung der Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen. Durch die Darstellung zahlreicher Themen, die unter die einzelnen Bereiche des ORANGE-Konzepts fallen, wird eine strukturierte Herangehensweise ermöglicht, die Hochschulen bei der Entwicklung und Umsetzung umfassender Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien unterstützt. Ziel ist es, Hochschulen einen praxisorientierten Leitfaden an die Hand zu geben, der es ihnen ermöglicht, Nachhaltigkeit systematisch und erfolgreich in ihrer Organisation zu verankern.
