Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zahlreiche Initiativen auf internationaler, EU- und regionaler Ebene beschäftigen sich mit der digitalen Transformation, also dem Wechsel von traditionellen Geschäftsaktivitäten hin zu digitalisierten Modellen. Diese Transformation treibt Innovationen voran und zielt darauf ab, traditionelle Denkweisen zu überwinden und die Zukunft strategisch mit IKT (Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien) zu gestalten. Technische Werkzeuge wie Big Data, IoT, Smart Devices und Netzwerktechnologien sind bereits verfügbar und ermöglichen Effizienzsteigerungen und höhere Gewinne. Künstliche Intelligenz hilft z. B. bei der Vorhersage von Produktionsanomalien und der Ressourcenschonung oder im technischen Kundensupport. Industrie-4.0-Initiativen verbessern die Effizienz am Arbeitsplatz und die Produktionsmethoden. Dennoch stehen die Verknüpfung und konkrete Nutzung dieser Technologien und insbesondere der dabei anfallenden Daten im Produktions- und Arbeitsalltag noch aus. Darüber hinaus müssen noch Organisations- und Managementstrukturen sowie rechtliche Kompetenzen geschaffen werden, um einen sinnvollen (und damit begründeten und zielgerichteten) Einsatz von Methoden der digitalen Transformation zu gewährleisten.
