Abstract

Chapter 3 delves into the practice of supervisory boards and advisory boards, examining how ambidexterity can be applied in committee work. We meet the professional supervisory board member Eberhard Veit. He is the owner of the company “4.0-VeIT”, one of the largest supervisory board offices in Germany. Eberhard Veit is a long-standing expert in corporate governance in family businesses and has been active in numerous supervisory bodies for many years, including as a supervisory board member of Robert Bosch GmbH. He explains why ambidexterity is a key to committee work in times of change and how he uses ambidexterity in his work on the advisory board and supervisory board.
