Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung und technologische Entwicklung stellt Unternehmen vor die Frage: Wo beginnen? Dieser Beitrag zeigt, wie die Value Chain von Michael Porter als strategisches Werkzeug genutzt werden kann, um den Einstieg in die digitale Transformation zu strukturieren. Statt direkt auf Technologie zu setzen, liegt der Fokus auf der Analyse von Geschäftsprozessen und deren Nutznießern – sei es der Kunde, ein Partner oder interne Teams. Erst wenn Zielprozesse definiert sind, wird geprüft, wie digitale Technologien gezielt unterstützen können. Der Beitrag beleuchtet praxisnah, wie Unternehmen durch digitale Geschäftsmodelle, Plattformökonomie und innovative Erlösmodelle neue Märkte erschließen und nachhaltige Wettbewerbsvorteile schaffen können. Die Value Chain wird dabei zur klaren Leitlinie, um Digitalisierung strategisch, kundenorientiert und nachhaltig zu gestalten.
