Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Zentrum dieses Beitrags steht die Frage, wie es Führungskräften von Teams gelingen kann, ihre Teams im Spannungsfeld zwischen Selbstorganisation und Leistungsdruck nachhaltig zur Höchstleistung zu führen, indem sie Eigenmotivation, Effektivität und Kreativität fördern. Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage wird ein intensiver Blick auf das Führungsverhalten von TrainerInnen im Spitzensport geworfen, um daraus Rückschlüsse für Führungskräfte der Wirtschaft zu ziehen. Die Grundprämisse des Beitrags lautet, dass sowohl TrainerInnen als auch Führungskräfte nur ein Mittel haben, um erfolgreich mit ihren Teams umzugehen: nämlich Kommunikation. Auf Basis eines systemtheoretischen Steuerungsmodells werden anschließend klassische und moderne Führungsstile und ihre Folgen für die Leistung, die Eigenmotivation und Kreativität von Teams analysiert. Das Ergebnis zeigt, dass Führungskräfte von SpitzentrainerInnen lernen können, wie sie mittels eines vertrauensbasierten, stark partizipativen Führungsstils erfolgreich wirken. Dabei haben zudem gemeinsame moralische Vorstellungen und ein transparenter, nachvollziehbarer Umgang mit Macht eine enorme Bedeutung. TrainerInnen und Führungskräfte, die es schaffen, Vertrauen, Moral und Macht in einem partizipativen Umfeld zu balancieren, erreichen hohe Eigenmotivation, Effektivität und Kreativität ihrer Teams – und sie fördern Bedingungen der gelingenden Selbstorganisation.
