Abstract

Zusammenfassung Unsere Gesellschaft entwickelt sich kontinuierlich weiter. Im Rahmen dieses fortdauernden Wandels ändern sich folglich auch Motive und Bedürfnisse. So sind heute Schlagworte wie Selbstoptimierung, New Work oder Diversity aus dem täglichen Leben nicht mehr wegzudenken. Dieses Phänomen zeigt sich gegenwärtig auch auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Daneben stellt die demografische Entwicklung Unternehmen aus sämtlichen Wirtschaftszweigen vor neue Herausforderungen. Betrachtet man die zunehmende Alterung der Gesamtbevölkerung, wie auch die Prognosen zu stetig sinkenden Geburtenraten, so könnte dies im Jahr 2030 für den Standort Deutschland einen Mangel an etwa 6 Mio. ausgebildeten Fachkräften im erwerbsfähigen Alter bedeuten (Schuett, 2014, S. 2 f.)
