Abstract

Zusammenfassung Johann Hofmann beschreibt in seinem Text die Entstehung und Entwicklung einer innovativen Softwarelösung in der Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR), einem mittelständischen Unternehmen in Regensburg, das weltweit bedeutend in der Energieübertragung ist. Hofmann schildert, wie er zunächst ineffiziente Prozesse in der NC-Fertigung identifizierte und daraufhin eine MES-Lösung entwickelte, die zur Vernetzung und Verbesserung der Werkzeugmaschinen führte. Diese Lösung, die später als MR-CM® bekannt wurde, war so erfolgreich, dass andere Unternehmen sie übernehmen wollten, was schließlich zur Vermarktung führte. Nach anfänglichen Erfolgen mit den ersten Kunden stieß das Cross-Projekt jedoch auf zahlreiche Herausforderungen, die eine Neuentwicklung der Software notwendig machte. Diese neue Version, ValueFacturing®, basierte auf einer verbesserten Software-Architektur und wurde nach einer schwierigen Übergangsphase erfolgreich implementiert.
