Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung bewirkt einen grundlegenden Umbruch in der Welt. Dieser ist gekennzeichnet durch den Übergang von der Materialität zur Virtualität und die damit verbundene wachsende Bedeutung immaterieller Ressourcen und Werte. Neue Technologien wie Künstliche Intelligenz, virtuelles Engineering, das Internet der Dinge und digitale Zwillinge führen zu neuen, physisch nicht existierenden Welten und Märkten. Dieser Beitrag diskutiert die Bedeutung, die methodischen Grundlagen, die praktische Umsetzung und die zukünftigen Trends der Erweiterung der Materialität in die Virtualität als neue Form der Wissenschaft. Anders als bei herkömmlichen Lösungen muss sich der Mensch jedoch nicht mehr an die Funktionsweise von Computersystemen anpassen, um sie zu bedienen. Stattdessen übernimmt der Mensch mithilfe von KI-basierten Lösungen selbst eine aktive Rolle und setzt seine individuelle Wahrnehmungsfähigkeit und sein Potenzial sinnvoll und gewinnbringend für das Unternehmen ein.
