Abstract

Zusammenfassung Heinz Grohmann wurde am 21. Februar 1921 in Dresden geboren. Seine Kinder- und Jugendjahre verbrachte er in Dresden und Apolda (Thüringen). Nach 10 Jahren Kriegsdienst und russischer Gefangenschaft studierte er von 1953 bis 1956 Wirt-schaftswissenschaften an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe – Universität in Frankfurt am Main. Es folgten – ebenfalls in Frankfurt – die Promotion 1963 und die Habilitation 1970. Noch im selben Jahr nahm er nach einer Lehrstuhlvertretung an der Universität des Saarlandes den Ruf auf einen Lehrstuhl für Statistik in Frankfurt an. Diesen hatte er bis zum Jahr 1987 inne. 1975/76 war er Dekan des Fachbereichs Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
