Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ulrich Rendtel (* 1950 in Fürstenberg/Havel), hat an der FU Berlin Mathematik und Physik studiert und im Jahr 1985 mit der Arbeit „Generalized CUSUM schemes and their application in acceptance sampling“ promoviert, gefolgt von der Habilitation 1994 über „The Analysis of Panel Data under Panel Attrition. Theory and Empirical Findings for the Socio Economic Panel (SOEP)“. Von 1995 bis 2003 war er Professor für Statistik an der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt/M., im Jahr 2003 wechselte er an die FU Berlin. Für die Deutsche Statistische Gesellschaft war er aktiv als Mitherausgeber der beiden Vereinszeitschriften und als Leiter des Ausbildungsausschusses. Er gilt als einer der führenden Experten unseres Landes in Fragen von Datenerhebung und Datenqualität und vertritt in Wort und Tat eine enge Partnerschaft zwischen theoretischer und amtlicher Statistik.
