Abstract

Zusammenfassung Göran Kauermann (* 17. Oktober 1965 in Hagen) ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Statistik und ihre Anwendungen in den Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und war lange Jahre geschäftsführender Direktor des dortigen Instituts für Statistik. Außerdem ist er Sprecher und Mitbegründer des seit 2016 vom Elitenetzwerk Bayern geförderten Masterstudiengangs Data Science. Von 2013 bis 2011 war er ordentlicher Professor für Statistik an der Universität Bielefeld, davor Lecturer und Senior Lecturer an der University of Glasgow.
