Abstract

Zusammenfassung Fünf Teilnehmerinnen Susanne Bär (SB), Dr. Katharina Drope (KD), Dr. Anja Victorine Hartmann (AH), Claudia Roggenkamp (CR) und Wiebke Wolkenhauer (WW) der allerersten Hamburger Talentsuche, die sich im Sommer 1983 bei den Mathe-Samstagen kennenlernten, sind bis heute miteinander in Kontakt und teilweise nach wie vor gut miteinander befreundet. In diesem Gespräch mit Stephanie Schiemann (StS) reflektieren sie gemeinsam darüber, wie sie seinerzeit zur Talentsuche Mathematik gekommen sind, welche Rolle ihre Begabungen in ihrem schulischen und privaten Umfeld spielten, was die samstäglichen Mathetreffen für sie als Teenagerinnen bedeuteten und was sie für ihr Leben und für ihre eigenen Kinder daraus mitgenommen haben. In aller Kürze: eine Gemeinschaft von Gleichgesinnten, gemeinsamer Humor und Diversität, Problemlösungskompetenz und Teamarbeit und nicht zuletzt die Erkenntnis, dass (messbare) Begabung allein niemanden im Leben weiterbringt – und schon gar nicht glücklich macht.
