Abstract

Zusammenfassung Marie hat an der Talentförderung Mathematik in Niedersachsen in ihrer Schulzeit seit der 7. Klasse teilgenommen. Anschließend hat sie viele Jahre als Gruppenleiterin bei den Mathesitzungen und Mathefahrten geholfen. Besonders viel Spaß gemacht hat es ihr, weil sie dort Gleichaltrige mit ähnlichen Interessen kennengelernt hat. Sehr wertschätzend empfand sie auch, dass ihr Lehrer in der Oberstufe mit ihr aufgrund der Talentförderung auf Augenhöhe kommuniziert hat. Dies hat ihr Vertrauen in die eigenen Fähigkeiten sehr bestärkt. Auf jeden Fall hat sie durch die damalige positive Erfahrung in der Mathematikförderung die Entscheidung zum Mathematikstudium getroffen. Nach dem Diplom in Mathematik arbeitete sie zunächst als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in einem Oldenburger Forschungsinstitut im Bereich Energieinformatik und gründete eine Familie. Inzwischen ist sie beruflich in die IT einer Unternehmensgruppe gewechselt.
