Abstract

Zusammenfassung Schon sehr früh hat sich Mara für Mathematik begeistert. Vorbild war ihre Mutter. Seit der 7. Klasse bis zum Ende der Schulzeit hat sie begeistert an der Mathematikförderung der William-Stern-Gesellschaft (WSG) in der Uni Hamburg teilgenommen, anschließend hat sie – bis zum Vordiplom in Bonn, danach in Hamburg – Mathematik studiert und im Bereich Dynamische Systeme promoviert. Neben dem Studium hat sie sowohl im Hamburger Modell der WSG, dem Förderprojekt für die Mittel- und Oberstufe, gejobbt als auch beim Grundschulprojekt PriMa, das in Kooperation mit der WSG durchgeführt wird. Heute arbeitet sie hauptamtlich in beiden Mathematikförderprojekten der WSG und beobachtet mit großer Freude die Kinder und Jugendlichen beim Entwickeln ihrer mathematischen Ideen.
