Abstract

Zusammenfassung Felix war seit der 7. Klasse Teilnehmer der Talentförderung Mathematik in Niedersachsen. Dort habe ich ihn kennengelernt. Später war er in der Talentförderung auch Gruppenleiter sowie Betreuer bei zahlreichen Mathefahrten. Im Team Mathematik zu treiben, hat ihm dort immer sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Dies setzte sich dann bei „Jugend forscht“ fort. Auch in seiner mathematischen Forschungstätigkeit ist ihm die Zusammenarbeit im Team sehr wichtig, er hat schon früh mit Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern im gleichen Karrierestadium zusammengearbeitet und bis heute keinen einzigen mathematischen Zeitschriftenartikel als Alleinautor verfasst. Inzwischen ist er Professor im Department Mathematik der TU München und legt dort großen Wert auf einen kooperativen Führungsstil auf Augenhöhe, so wie er ihn es als Jugendlicher bei der Talentförderung Mathematik und während der Promotion am Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences in New York erfahren hat. Er glaubt, dass mehr Kooperation auf Augenhöhe der mathematischen Forschung guttun würde und setzt sich deshalb für den Abbau von Hierarchien ein, zum Beispiel indem mehr Professuren im Tenure-Track besetzt werden und so Forschenden frühe Unabhängigkeit ermöglichen.
