Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im ersten Kapitel werden wichtige Grundlagen des Data Storytelling beleuchtet. Die Autorin erklärt zunächst, warum sie selbst zur Datengeschichtenerzählerin wurde. Anschließend gibt sie Hintergründe zum Begriff „Data Storytelling“ und verdeutlicht seine Relevanz in der heutigen Zeit. Sie weist auf die wachsende Bedeutung des Data Storytelling hin und erklärt das Dilemma der Datenüberflutung in der Zeit der Digitalisierung und den Wunsch von Organisationen, Data Literacy einzuführen. Danach widmet sich die Autorin der Einordnung des Data Storytelling in den Pfad von Datenerhebung bis zur Wertschöpfung und zeigt die Limitierungen von Datengeschichten im Zusammenhang mit Projektberichterstattung und Dashboards auf. Insgesamt bietet das erste Kapitel einen fundierten Einstieg in das Thema Data Storytelling und macht deutlich, warum es auch im Projektmanagement immer mehr an Bedeutung gewinnt.
