Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zur Dokumentation kommunaler Nachhaltigkeitsaktivitäten stellen Nachhaltigkeitsberichte ein geeignetes Instrumentarium dar. Die Umsetzung der Nachhaltigkeitsberichtserstattung durch Kommunen gestaltet sich bislang noch heterogen. In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland gibt es bereits Muster zur Berichtserstellung, welche die Umsetzung standardisieren und erleichtern können. Außerdem erstatten einige Kommunen aktiv regelmäßige Nachhaltigkeitsberichte. Ausgehend von einem Benchmark mit den vier Vergleichskommunen werden für die Referenzkommune Hannover Handlungsimplikationen herausgearbeitet. Der Verzahnung mit der Wirtschaft kommt hierbei eine besondere Bedeutung zu, da eine ganzheitliche Berichterstattung auch die Betrachtung von Unternehmen bedarf.
