Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nachhaltigkeit ist grundsätzlich eine Aufgabe aller denkbaren Systemmitglieder. Für Kommunen adressiert dies im Prinzip alle vor Ort tätigen Akteursgruppen. Zu der wichtigsten Akteursgruppe zählt dabei allerdings die Wirtschaft und die dahinterstehenden Unternehmen, die vielfach bereit zu einer regionalen Verantwortungsübernahme (Corporate Regional Responsibility) sind bzw. diese schon langjährig praktizieren. Im Rahmen ihrer gesellschaftlich-sozialen Verantwortung, der ihnen gegebenen ressourcenbezogenen Möglichkeiten und unter besonderer Fokussierung der Interessenlagen ihrer Mitarbeiter, die im kommunalen Umfeld des Unternehmensstandortes leben, ist ihr Beitrag für eine kommunale Nachhaltigkeit von essentieller Bedeutung. Daher ist die Schnittstelle Kommune – Wirtschaft und entsprechende Abstimmungs- und Koordinationsprozesse dieser beiden Gestaltungsakteure ein entscheidendes Handlungsfeld, um die Nachhaltigkeit in den Kommunen voranzubringen.
