Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Wissenschafts- und Technologieunternehmen Merck ist einst aus einer Apotheke entstanden und das älteste pharmazeutisch-chemische Unternehmen der Welt. Arzneimittel sind heute jedoch nur noch ein Teil des weltweiten Geschäfts. Merck vertreibt unter anderem auch Produkte für die Elektronikindustrie. Diese sind beispielsweise Bestandteil der Produktion fast aller Chips, die in elektronischen Geräten verbaut werden. Für Kai Beckmann liegt das Erfolgsgeheimnis in dieser Bereitschaft zum Wandel. Als CEO des Unternehmensbereichs Electronics und Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung von Merck setzt er sich dafür ein, die Organisation niemals als endgültig zu begreifen. Das Interview führte Dr. Alin Adomeit.
