Abstract

Zusammenfassung Menschen arbeiten oft jahrelang nebeneinander her, ohne sich wirklich zu kennen. Dadurch bleibt eine Distanz, die für Kommunikation und Kollaboration hinderlich ist. Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass in einem solchen Umfeld eine Vielzahl guter Ideen entsteht, die für die Weiterentwicklung einer Organisation jedoch unabdingbar sind. Nähe kann geschaffen werden, indem Menschen sich besser kennenlernen, Gemeinsamkeiten erkennen und auf diese Weise ins Gespräch kommen. Eine Methode, die dafür eine wunderbare Grundlage bildet, sind sogenannte Personal MapsPersonal Map, die Jurgen Appelo [1] auf einer Autofahrt von Amsterdam nach Brüssel erdachte, wie er in seinem Buch Managing for Happiness schreibt.
