Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel geht es sowohl um die Barrieren im eigenen Kopf als auch um die externen Hindernisse, die sich dann und wann auf dem Lebensweg auftürmen. Es werden vor allem die Stolpersteine für Frauen, Mütter und Leaderinnen thematisiert – und es wird diskutiert, wie sich damit umgehen lässt. Wichtig ist dabei das Konzept von Stephen R. Covey, insbesondere sein „Circle of Influence“. Das eigene Denken und natürlich auch das eigene Handeln können wir direkt beeinflussen, während wir die äußeren Gegebenheiten nicht unmittelbar verändern können. Deshalb sollten wir bei uns selbst beginnen, wollen wir einen echten Wandel vorantreiben und etwas dagegen tun, dass wir uns auf dem Weg nach oben immer wieder ausbremsen.
