Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Artikel „Finanzierung im Motorsport“ befasst sich mit ausgewählten Fragestellungen bezüglich der Finanzierung in der Motorsportbranche. In diesem Zusammenhang werden – nach einer kurzen Einführung in das Thema „Finanzierung“ – insbesondere verschiedene Finanzierungsformen detailliert und praxisbezogen erläutert. Die Finanzierung durch private Kapitalgeber, die inzwischen im Motorsport fest etabliert ist, stellt hierbei den Anfang dar. Fortgeführt wird die Thematik mit der Finanzierung durch strategische Partnerschaften und Kooperationen, die für viele Motorsportunternehmen die attraktivsten alternativen Finanzierungsformen darstellen, ehe die Finanzierung durch einen Börsengang die Thematik abschließt. Am Beispiel der Formel 1 und der Speedway Motorsports Inc. wird der, im Fall der Formel 1 nicht realisierte, Zugang zum organisierten Kapitalmarkt erläutert. Im Anschluss darin wird die Entwicklung der Rechteverwertung und der Beteiligungsstrukturen in der Formel 1 näher durchleuchtet. Danach werden ausgewählte Angaben zu den Formel-1-Temas, wie etwa Jahresbudgets, Beteiligungsstrukturen und Mitarbeiteranzahl, verglichen und diskutiert sowie diverse Möglichkeiten zur Finanzierung der Rennstallbudgets gegeneinander abgewogen. In diesem Zusammenhang wird ebenso auf Finanzierungsprobleme in der Formel 1 eingegangen, indem an vergangene Insolvenzfälle und die versuchte Einführung einer Budgetobergrenze erinnert wird. Abgeschlossen wird der Artikel durch Erläuterungen zu ausgewählten Aspekten der Finanzierung am Beispiel von verschiedenen Formel-1-Rennteams und Formel-1-Rennstrecken, indem ein realitätsbezogener Einblick in Rennteambudgets und Rennveranstaltungsbudgets gegeben wird, ehe die Rolle der staatlichen Unterstützung für den Motorsport erläutert wird.
