Abstract

Zusammenfassung Gesetze, Regeln, Richtlinien und Normen beeinflussen die Produktentwicklung schon seit Menschen miteinander Warenhandel betreiben. Zum einen können diese als starker Innovationstreiber fungieren und so eine industrielle Wertschöpfung in Unternehmensnetzwerken erst in effizienter Form ermöglichen. Zum anderen regeln sie den unkontrollierten Gewinn des Einen zu Lasten des Anderen, der Gesellschaft oder auch der Umwelt. Ebenso tragen sie zur Sicherheit aller und zum Schutz der Natur bei, indem sie Vorschriften und Vorgaben enthalten, die das Risiko im Zusammenhang mit der Technik und deren Umsetzung minimieren. Im vorliegenden Kapitel soll sich diesem Zusammenhang mit besonderem Fokus auf Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit gewidmet werden. In den nachfolgenden Abschnitten werden dabei drei wesentlichen Aspekte genauer beleuchtet und ausgeführt:
