Die Mitteltönigkeit

Abstract

Zusammenfassung „Die Mitteltönigkeit“ beschreibt diesen Begriff wissenschaftlich aus den historisch gegebenen Festlegungen und leitet dann aus den Regeln der Teilungen und mittels der intervallarithmetischen Gesetze der Kapitel 1-3 eine grundlegende Definition dieses oft nicht wirklich verstandenen und interpretierten Wortes her. Gerade im Orgelbau und ihrer klanglichen Physik ist eine Präzisierung dieses Begriffs unverzichtbar – wollen wir die Mitteltönigkeit dem Pluralismus der Temperierungen der Renaissance, des Bach-Zeitalters und der Klassik genauer gegenüberstellen. Wir zeigen mehrere Arten einer „Mitteltönigkeit“ und finden mit den Regeln des 7.Kapitels schnell zu den Daten aller mitteltönigen Intervalle, ihrer Skalen und Wolfsquintentemperierungen. In den Abschnitten Wege zur Mitteltönigkeit, die Mitteltönigkeit zur reinen großen Terz, die Mitteltönigkeit zur reinen kleinen Terz, die allgemeine mitteltönige 1/n--Komma-Temperierung findet man gleichzeitig auch – zumindest fragmentarisch – einige Querverbindungen der Mitteltönigkeit zur Zahl √5 mit deren eigenem Bezug zu Geometrie und Arithmetik.
