Abstract

Zusammenfassung „Skalen und ihre Modelle“ befassen wir uns mit dem Tastaturmodell, dem Stufenmodell und dem Quintenkreismodell, welche mit dem Aufbau von Skalen, ihren visuellen Architekturen und ihren intrinsischen harmonischen Funktionen sehr eng verbunden sind. Während der Aufbau beispielsweise der 7- oder 12-stufigen Skalen am besten durch die Ablaufmuster von „Halb- und Ganztonschritten“ beschrieben wird, regelt der Aufbau mittels Quinteniterationen sowohl die musikalisch-harmonischen Prinzipien der Tonartenbeziehungen als auch die für die Anwendung wichtigen Aspekte notwendigerweise erzwungener Schließungsmechanismen. In den Abschnitten das Tastaturmodell und das Skalen-Alphabet, leitereigene und skaleninterne Intervalle, Stufenturm- und Quintenkreis – gleichwertige Fundamente, die Perioden-Symmetrien chromatischer Skalen, die Stufen-Architekturen für doppelt-periodische Skalen, Kombinatorische Spiele rund um die Charakteristiken zeigen wir zunächst die Äquivalenz dieser Skalenmodelle und entwickeln daraus eine musik-mathematische Theorie des problematischen Begriffs der „Tonartencharakteristiken“.
