Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Funktionsbegriff ist einer der wichtigsten aber für Schülerinnen und Schüler auch schwierigsten Begriffe der Schulmathematik. Es wird zunächst eine mathematische Klärung des Gegenstandes vorgenommen. Die dabei stattfindende Begriffsklärung soll nicht dazu dienen, dass der Unterricht in der Schule von einem formal definierten Funktionsbegriff geprägt wird. Die mathematische Klärung ermöglicht jedoch, die implizit enthaltenen heuristischen Strategien zu analysieren. Diese hier durchgeführte Analyse führt zu wesentlichen Schlussfolgerungen für den Mathematikunterricht.
