Abstract

Zusammenfassung Heuristischen Strategien können in erheblichem Umfang schon in sehr vielen Inhalten der Grundschulmathematik rekonstruiert werden. Werden diese Inhalte unterrichtet, sollen Schülerinnen und Schüler gleichzeitig die mit den Strategien verbundenen Denkweisen erlernen und später an anderen Inhalten nutzen. Gelingt dies, so ist Mathematikunterricht bereits in der Grundschule eine Denkschulung und nicht nur die Vermittlung von Basiskalkülen. Dabei ist nicht gemeint, dass die Strategien im Unterricht explizit erklärt werden sollen - mit entsprechend abstrakten Darstellungen sind Schülerinnen und Schüler in Grundschule sicherlich weitgehend überfordert. Lehrerinnen und Lehrer sollten jedoch bewusst mit den Strategien umgehen und sie nutzen, um die unterrichteten Verfahren zu erklären oder auch um typische Probleme im Lernprozess zu identifizieren, um dann darauf angemessen zu reagieren.
