Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem einleitenden Kapitel geht es im Wesentlichen darum, das terminologische Netz bereitzustellen, welches für die Auseinandersetzung mit Heuristik im schulischen Kontext erforderlich ist. Ausgangspunkt ist die Unterscheidung zwischen Aufgabe und Problem und die mathematikdidaktische Ausschärfung dieser Nuancierung. Mit besonderem Augenmerk auf den Schulbezug werden dann Öffnungsprozesse vorgestellt und an konkreten Beispielen erläutert, mit denen sich Routineaufgaben in Problemaufgaben überführen lassen, deren Lösung den Einsatz problemlösender Handlungsroutinen, sog. Heurismen, erfordert. Die wichtigsten Entwicklungsschritte des Bewusstseins der Existenz solcher heuristischer Strategien des Problemlösens und deren systematischer Nutzung und Gestaltung werden in einer kurzen Geschichte der Heuristik skizziert, die den zeitlichen Bogen von den Urformen heuristischer Strategien in der Antike bis hin zu aktuellen Ansätzen des 21. Jahrhunderts spannt.
