Abstract

Zusammenfassung China ist auf dem Weg, die führende Nation des 21. Jahrhunderts zu werden. Diese Entwicklung können wir nicht aufhalten. Wohin die Reise genau gehen wird, ist derzeit nicht absehbar. Jedoch sollte darüber Einigkeit herrschen, China ernst zu nehmen und die EU im Wettbewerb stark zu positionieren, um eine gemeinsame Zukunft zu gestalten. Aufgrund fehlender Kenntnisse zur chinesischen Gesellschaft tun sich Beobachter aus Deutschland recht schwer. Für China ist es eine Rückkehr an die Weltspitze, um das zu verstehen, lohnt ein Blick in die Geschichte des Landes.
