Abstract

Zusammenfassung Chinas Innovationskapazität zeichnet sich durch die schnelle, marktnahe Entwicklung und Implementierung von neuen Technologien in innovativen und kreativen digitalen Geschäftsmodellen aus. Zu Zeiten einer Pandemie ist diese Kompetenz für alle Industrien vital, um relevant zu bleiben und zu überleben. Digitalisierung wird zum Paradigma, doch um welchen Preis? Wie gestaltet man kundenzentrierte Geschäftsmodelle, die zukunftsfähig sind? Anhand der Luxusindustrie zeigt sich das Dilemma in besonderem Maße, denn die inhärente Exklusivität der persönlichen Luxuserfahrung liegt in der DNA des Luxuskonsums. Bis zuletzt war die Luxusbranche daher wenig vom Paradigma der Digitalisierung betroffen. Umso härter treffen die Industrie die abrupten weltweiten Einschränkungen im Einzelhandel.
