Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, die existentiell wichtigen technischen Themen für das selbstfahrende Unternehmen einfach und verständlich für Entscheidungsträger zu erklären. Als erfahrener Softwarestrategie-Berater sehe ich seit Jahren immer wieder Themen, die in den großen und erfolgreichen Betrieben nicht funktionieren. Ein Beispiel, das dies gut veranschaulicht, ist die Anwendung zum Kauf eines Fahrtickets eines öffentlichen Transportunternehmens. Die Idee hinter diesem Prinzip ist ganz einfach, es sollte ermöglicht werden, auf dem Handy eine passende Verbindung zu suchen und das Ticket per Klick zu bezahlen. Gleich vorweg das Ergebnis: Die App kostete das Transportunternehmen über 100 Mio. Euro – während eine durchschnittliche App mit ähnlicher Funktionalität etwa mit 70.000 € zu kalkulieren ist. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt die Problemfelder, die in diesem Großprojekt schiefgelaufen sind und bringt zahlreiche weitere Beispiele und Anleitungen für bessere Lösungen.
