Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die rasch fortschreitende Entwicklung in den Lebens- und Biowissenschaften führt zu einer immer schnelleren Erzeugung von immer größeren Datenmengen. Einen wesentlichen Anteil haben dabei auch die sogenannten „Omics“-Technologien. Gleichzeitig bedarf es aber auch der Bildung und Schulung in der Erhebung, dem Umgang und der Interpretation dieser Daten, da sich nur bei einem Verständnis statistischer Verfahren und deren richtiger Anwendung valide Ergebnisse aus den erhobenen Daten ableiten lassen. Wir schildern hier das Konzept und die Implementierung eines interdisziplinären Wahlpflichtmoduls, das die Anwendung von biostatistischen Verfahren in verschiedenen „Omics“-Disziplinen umfasst. Dabei stellen wir die Aspekte der Planung und Umsetzung des Moduls für das Themengebiet Biostatistik vor. Außerdem beschreiben wir die Herausforderungen und erste Lösungsansätze, die sich durch die kurzfristige Digitalisierung des Moduls aufgrund der Pandemie im Frühjahr 2020 bei der Umsetzung ergeben haben.
